I came across a great use, for the sturdy metal stands that are sold at home hardware stores (I got these at HomeDepot), for holding a microwave in the kitchen. It happens that they fit my Epson printers perfectly and keep everything well organized with supplies stored below, as well. In my workspace, I have 2 stands setup beside each other, for my 13" wide carriage 1400 and 2400 printers ( the picture shows just the 1400 printer) - as well at another location in our home we have another such stand setup with the wireless network Artisan 800 scanner/printer (moved in to my room to show in these pictures) for use with any of our computers and wireless laptops that we use on a daily basis inside and outside the home.
With the well built rack and sturdy rollers, our printers can be moved anywhere at any time - as well I can effortlessly roll out one of my workspace printers to gain access to the back for heavy papers that require insertion there - or just to move them out of the way for any old reason. The adjustable metal shelves will handle any weight of papers, books, etc that I can put on them, without bending or breaking. In fact I currently am using the middle rack to hold my Brother Laser printer so that I can quickly and inexpensively print out any black and white output like invoices, manuals, my pages of web coding etc.
After years of having printers on my desks, shelves, and anywhere I could find to put them and paper supplies stored in any cubbyhole I could find - the realization that these $79 microwave stands would work perfectly for this purpose, was truly a great find for me. They are not flimsy in any way and are very professional looking.
