Shots of me Working

My wife Anne grabbed a few shots of me while I was working on the recent Love Story Session in Niagra-on-the-Lake. She used my Olympus E-PL1 that I was using to capture a few short video clips to include in the couple's Love Story slideshow:

Love Story Session for Wine Lovers

This young couple are of Italian decent, and are wine lovers. Thus their choice of location for the shoot, was in Wine Country Ontario - - - Niagara-On-The-Lake. We drove the short distance to River Bend Inn and Vineyard (http://www.riverbendinn.ca/) to use that location as a backdrop for the "wine lovers"

A New Life Begins Today

We were so excited to be able to enjoy the exciting entrance into the world - of our fourth grandchild Oakley Gabriella. Our youngest son Ryan (who I recently completed the music video for) and his wife Ashley, were so thrilled to have the identity of their first child - revealed to them at around 10:00 this morning. Ryan sobbed with tears upon finding out that it was a "girl" nestled inside Ashley's womb for the past 9 months. A girl was what he was hoping for.

Flowers, Art and Bees

Walking along the Goderich coastline, I shot a few interesting subjects with my Olympus E-510 and 75-300 lens. Exposure was f8 @ 1/60'th to 1/125'th (bees were f5.6 @ 1/160'th) using 800 ISO and Image Stabilization to help with the handholding.

The End of Things : Absence of Order

I have completed the Music Video that I have been working on, for my son Ryan's new song - "The End of Things". An Edgy video style was used to match his quirky and darker song writing style (the version that he is using is even more contrasty, desaturated, and daunting).

Creatures in our Lilacs

Time for Anne and I to get at our flowerbeds on our porch yesterday. With all of the attractions that we added - along with a stunningly full lilac tree within feet of the porch - - - it was exciting to see lots of activity this afternoon, first from hummingbirds and then a selection of butterflies/moths.

Have I got a Story to Tell - Famous Roy

Well did I ever have a great evening tonight as I decided to take the hour long drive into London (ontario) to shoot some city lights with my new E-PL1. Walking along Richmond Row, I passed an older fellow who was singing to his hearts content. I had the compulsion to ask if I could shoot a bit of video of him

City Night Lights

Shot some night time street lights around Richmond Row in London Ontario. I was testing the Olympus E-PL1 using AF tracking in low light. It did struggle with the 14-42mm kit lens - however I was very impressed with the out of focus circles that could be acheived with this inexpensive and rather limited lens.
