• El Salvador is beautiful

    Such a satisfying day yesterday. Views of the large man-made Lake Suchitlán (mostly green from water hyacinths) wrapped around the scenic cobblestone city of Suchitoto, to the north east of San Salvador. Every tourist photo of the lake, has the person sitting on the rocking chair at the Casa 1800 lookout.     Planet Gazing

    A fun night recently. I finally have recognized Saturn in the skies. It was so high in the sky sitting just to the right of the moon. (how I would love to have peeked through a proper telescope with this clear view) Leaving the mall the night before, there was a perfect unobstructed view of the moon with Venus and Jupiter below it. By the time I got to our home, only the moon was visible.
